NICAD Building – Newcastle University

Working closely with Bowmer & Kirkland, Solo have completed the install of 550 blinds to the new National Innovation Centre for Data (NICAD), the prestigious new build for Newcastle University was a project that took some new thinking due to the unusual shape of the windows. Solo’s experience for the marine sector made us a clear choice using our many years of shaped blind knowledge to complete the challenge. Using Yewdale’s Eden fabric combined with custom RAL coloured hardware and fascias resulted in the exceptional finish the client was looking for to compliment the architecture of the building.
